Located in historic South Boston, the South Boston Lithuanian Club has plenty of room for the New England Real Ale eXhibition. Our amazing array of cask-conditioned beers and ciders will be served in the third floor hall. Food and seating will be available on the fourth floor, along with a nice view. The venue is handicapped accessible.
To reach the South Boston Lithuanian Club, we recommend you take the MBTA. The nearest subway station is Broadway, about a ten minute walk away along West Broadway. The Route 9 bus runs along West Broadway, and can drop you off at West Broadway and E Street, right on the corner by the Club. You can catch the bus at Broadway Station on the Red Line, or Copley Square on the Green Line. The subways and the Route 9 bus will have extended hours on Friday and Saturday, running until 1 am.
If you are driving, you may wish to park at Alewife and take the Red Line to Broadway, or park at Riverside and take the Green Line to Copley. At either Broadway or Copley, you can catch the Route 9 bus and take it to West Broadway and E Street.
This being South Boston, parking is limited. The nearest parking garage is the Channel Garage near the Epicenter. There is also a municipal lot on West Broadway and some street parking. If you are driving, please drink responsibly!
Please remember that NERAX accepts cash only. There are plenty of ATMs in the neighborhood, including one in the first floor lobby, and another in the credit union on the second floor.
We are pleased to report that thanks to all your suggestions, we have found a new host for this year's New England Real Ale eXhibition. The South Boston Lithuanian Club is located in historic South Boston.
Again, we are very sorry about the inconvenience, and we hope to see you soon!
Advance ticket sales for NERAX 2015 are now closed. Even if you missed your chance to buy advanced tickets, come on in to any session! There will be a Large Number of admissions available at the door.
No physical tickets will be issued. If you purchased advanced admission, please come to the Will Call line. Your name and the number of tickets you purchased will be on the list. All you need is your ID.
This year we expect to serve over 100 cask-conditioned beers and ciders over the course of the festival. With the wide array of American and British beers we acquire, our cellar team adds new beers to every session, providing an interesting and changing selection of Real Ale throughout the festival.
We want to thank everyone who has volunteered already. Although the festival has started at the South Boston Lithuanian Club, we still need people for the Friday and Saturday sessions. If you've already signed up, let your friends know how much fun it is to help us out at NERAX. Thank you!
Volunteering at NERAX is a great way to support the festival and enjoy it too!
Volunteers make the festival happen. Volunteers help us throughout the week of NERAX, from setup to breakdown. If you work as a volunteer, you may attend one session of the festival as our guest. No matter which shift you work, all volunteers are invited to the Staff Party on Saturday night.
We are now looking for volunteers for NERAX. We will need your help from setup on Sunday April 12, during the festival on Wednesday, April 15 to Saturday, April 18, and during breakdown on Sunday April 19. If you wish to volunteer, please fill in the Volunteer signup for NERAX form and click on the Submit button at the bottom of the page.
During the festival, we ask that you arrive at the hall about half an hour before the session starts. Please make sure to allow extra time for traffic! This gives you time to check in, receive your assignment, and meet with your supervisor for training. We also ask that you stay about half an hour after the end of the session to help clean up the hall.
NERAX has a new location! We'll see you at the South Boston Lithuanian Club!
Tickets are available at the door for all NERAX sessions! See our hours below.
During the festival, new casks of American and British beer will be tapped every day, for a wide selection from Wednesday to Saturday. Since much depends on how quickly beers get ready to be served, it's hard to predict how many and which beers will be on during a particular session. Generally, each session will offer between 40 to 60 cask-conditioned beers and ciders available for you to choose from.
